Motorcycle accident............and sudden death?

In one of my daily grind around town, together with my usual companion, an old but trusted 'mountain bike', I saw a motorcycle accident near the Marcelino B. Veloso Memorial Hospital (MBVMH) which made me stop and make some inquiries while taking some shots with my Nokia camera phone.

I saw a motorcycle being brought up the highway going to Isabel, Leyte, by a group of people coming from a steep ravine of about five to ten meters deep.

I also saw a "multicab", owned by Warrior "ayoy" Martinez, being used in pulling the motorcycle up to the highway.

Inquiries about how the accident happened prove futile, since the parties involved tried to evade questions especially if coming from people they don't even know.

What I learned is that they (husband and wife) are supposed to go home early morning of the said unlucky day, but the driver (husband) miscalculated the roadway because of his feeling drowsy and sleepy.

Well, after the sad incident, where only the driver suffered some bruises and doesn't need to be admitted to the hospital nearby, I decided to go my way after noting that the only casualty was the motorcycle which was immediately brought to a repair shop nearby for body repairs.

Another 'accident' that is more fatal is what happened to BEBOT DYSAM, a long time neighbor in Brgy. Central I. In the ongoing Mayor's Cup being held regularly every year, before the coming fiesta, every Barangay and other commercial establishments, educational institutions and other interested groups are invited to participate in the said affair.

Almost always Bebot participates in the said competition, and this time he is a member of the so called 'Has Been's" but could still run and shoot the ball. As a good player he is always given a playing time more than he could handle which resulted in his heart working harder than usual.resulting in a cardiac arrest that he was not able to recover. He was brought to the local hospital when he complained of hard breathing and pain in his breast.

Sadly it was the last day of his life, as young as he is, he was taken by the lord on the same day. But I am still happy for him because he didn't suffer very much like others who became paralyzed after one or two heart attacks. He was given enough time by the Good Lord to ask forgiveness for all the sins he has committed in his lifetime.  .

To the bereave family, we humbly offer or deep condolence and offer our simple prayers for the repose of his soul. MAY HE REST IN PEACE!!!
