With four daily flights from Manila to Singapore, it’s now more convenient than ever to plan a connecting flight via the Lion City. Even better, through SIA’s partner airline, SilkAir, travelers from Cebu and Davao will have access to exciting destinations without the hassle of flying to Manila.

Flying daily from Cebu and four times a week from Davao, SilkAir is the gateway from Singapore to Mt. Everest (Katmandu); Phuket; Chengdu, China; Chennai, India; Surabaya, Indonesia; Siem Reap (Indochina); Penang, Malaysia; Yangon, Myanmar; Chang Mai, Thailand. KrisFlyer miles earned with SIA can redeem SilkAir flights and vice versa.

Like the multiawarded SIA, SilkAir has also numerous awards under its belt, including the prestigious Skytrax 2009 World Airlines Awards for Best Regional Airline.

“What we are offering is a completely different product. We give customers real value for money. From service to food, from facilities to aircraft—we have the passengers in mind all the time,” said Nenita Dy, manager, marketing communications and services, Singapore Airlines.

The Maldives package, for instance, has same-day flight connections, even when flying from Cebu or Davao via SilkAir. Time considerations of arrival and departure, said Dy, has been carefully calculated by SIA to make sure its passengers are never stressed out or harried.

Dy said SIA aircrafts are wide-bodied B777s such that even economy passengers will be comfortable in their Recaro seats that recline up to 15 degrees. Business class passengers can relax in their SpaceBed. One of four flights from Manila will accommodate First Class passengers.

Gourmet food is always better, and this cuts across all classes, Dy said. Inflight entertainment includes on-demand AV, games and music selection.

SIA’s packages are now diverse, for people opting for sports tourism, ecotourism, cultural immersion or shopping ventures.

“With SilkAir, we now fly to all five continents with the most number of destinations,” Dy said.
