MANILA, Philippines -- Giving Back: Everybody’s giving back these days.
Guess there’s always that time in a person’s life, in a moment of abundance or full of grace, that he thinks of giving thanks, being a person for others.
Actors, actresses and other media celebrities are often quoted these days saying they’re giving back to society. Some do it by prayers, love, or a good performance.
Others go the extra mile by sending poor children to school, donating blood, lending their celebrity to worthy causes.
Sixteen artists from Star Magic sang and danced on Aug. 18 at the Glorietta in Makati to raise funds for
Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that helps poor Filipino families build their own homes within a suitable community.
We cheer the following stars, who show the world they are the world and that they care enough to share their blessings with the country’s poor.
The star list includes: Yeng Contantino, Matteo Guidicelli, Jovit Baldivino, Kathryn Bernando, Robi Domingo, Enrique Gil, Krissel Valdez, Monica Sacay, Julia Montes, Angeline Quinto, Akiko Solon, Arron Villaflor, Enchong Dee, Maja Salvador, and Sam Milby. They were joined by Cris Villonco and the Habitat Ambassadors.
