Incoming Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez
BEIJING – President Benigno Aquino III has named an advertising executive as the new tourism secretary, a report on 990AM said.
In an informal talk with reporters Wednesday night, the report quoted Aquino as saying that Ramon Jimenez could bring his experience in advertising in promoting the Philippines worldwide.
Aquino said he would meet with Jimenez when he returns to the Philippines following his state visit here.
Jimenez replaced Alberto Lim whose resignation took effect August 31.
Aquino is also scheduled to visit the Great Wall and the Forbidden City this Thursday and is expected to meet other ranking officials on the same day, the report said.
